Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 May 2026 · Effective: 9 May 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using AI Alarm you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
AI Alarm is a personal alarm-clock application. Each alarm rings with a short voice message generated by a third-party AI model in the character (persona) you picked. We may add, change, or remove features at any time during the beta.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some EU jurisdictions) and able to enter a binding contract in your country of residence to use the app.
4. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password and Google account secure. Don't share your sign-in.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, with reasonable exceptions for confirmed breaches.
- You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete my account. We may close your account if you violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use AI Alarm to:
- Break the law in your jurisdiction.
- Reverse-engineer the service or scrape it at scale.
- Use the alarm-purpose ("what is this alarm for") field to push illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful content into generated audio. The model has guardrails; trying to get around them is a violation.
- Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity in a way that could harm them.
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or stalk anyone.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the service without prior written permission.
6. AI-generated content
Wake-up audio is produced by a third-party AI model (currently OpenAI). AI output can be inaccurate, off-tone, or occasionally strange. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical guidance — the message exists to wake you up agreeably, not to be authoritative. We don't guarantee specific outputs and may swap providers, models, or voices to improve quality without notice.
7. Subscriptions and billing
The Pro plan, when available through the Google Play Store, will be billed by Google Play according to their subscription terms. We may change pricing for new subscribers; existing subscribers will be notified of any change before it takes effect. Refunds are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy. The Free plan (all fourteen characters, all five goals, all seven languages, and full alarm functionality) does not require any payment; Pro adds continuous variant freshness on top.
The Complimentary plan is granted at our discretion and may be revoked at any time, typically when a paid plan becomes available.
8. Reliability disclaimer
Always keep a backup alarm (e.g. your phone's stock Clock app) for any wake-up that genuinely matters. AI Alarm is provided as best-effort. We disclaim liability for missed alarms where permitted by law.
9. Service availability
The backend service is provided as-is, without uptime guarantees, during the beta. Scheduled alarms continue to fire even when the backend is unreachable, because the audio is pre-generated and stored on your device — but features that need the network (creating new alarms, generating fresh audio, switching personas) will be unavailable while the service is down.
10. Intellectual property
The app, server code, persona prompts, and brand are owned by the operator. You keep ownership of the content you input (your alarms, your name, the alarm-purpose text you type). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store and process that content for the sole purpose of running the service for you. We do not use your content to train any model.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if running the service for you becomes operationally infeasible (e.g. abuse). On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't, delete your account before the effective date.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will the operator be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state where the operator is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
16. Contact
The fastest path is in-app: Settings → Account → Send feedback.
These Terms are provided in good faith. They are not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your business or your jurisdiction. Before opening to public sale (Play Store launch), have a lawyer review them.
